February Full Moon Meditation

I will be holding an in-person Snow Full Moon mediation at Lancaster Gate, London W2, on Sunday 5th February starting a 6pm. I would love you to join me for this mediation as this means that we will be able to share the power of this moon together, implant our intentions for the spring and I can work with you to manifest what you desire for the new season.

February is typically cold and snowy in Europe and North America, and this earned this full moon its name: snow moon.

Storm moon and hunger moon are other names for the February full moon.

A full moon occurs every 29.5 days, this is known as the lunar calendar. So as the years pass by, it is possible for February not to have a full moon. When this happens it is known as a “black moon” instead of a snow moon, this occurs approximately every 19 years, and this last happened in 2018.

The snow moon is the first full moon after the Imbolc new moon and it represents the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It’s a moment when the light begins to shift towards spring.

This is a good time to come to the mindset that change is coming, that the spring will arrive in the not too distant future; but we are not quite there at the moment. This makes the snow full moon a good time to make plans for the future, to manifest what we desire, and to finally let go of any remaining negativity from the winter season, to prepare for the coming of the new season.
