Happy Full Moon! A Time of Renewal, Light, and Inner Alignment

As February begins, we arrive at a powerful seasonal and energetic threshold. Imbolc, traditionally celebrated on February 1st, marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It is a time when the first quiet signs of renewal begin to stir beneath the surface of the earth and within us even while winter still lingers.

Imbolc has long been associated with St Brigid, guardian of the sacred flame, healing, creativity, and renewal. In Celtic tradition, St Brigid represents the returning light, reminding us that warmth, growth, and inspiration are already present, even if they are not yet fully visible. This season teaches us that true transformation begins gently, through intention, care, and inner awareness.
This year, Imbolc is beautifully amplified by the Full Moon on February 1st, creating a powerful moment for reflection and release. Full Moons are times of illumination. They bring clarity to what has been growing beneath the surface and help us become aware of what no longer supports our wellbeing, balance, or direction.
Where Imbolc invites us to plant seeds of intention, the Full Moon supports us in clearing space so those seeds can take root. Together, they offer a rare opportunity to pause, realign, and consciously step into the next phase of the year.
This is a supportive time to ask yourself:
What is ready to awaken in my life?
What am I being asked to release?
How can I nurture myself as I move forward?
Energetically, this period supports cleansing and renewal, not through effort or force, but through presence and awareness. Just as the land is preparing for spring, we are invited to gently clear emotional and energetic residue from the past months, creating space for clarity, creativity, and renewed focus.
Imbolc is also a reminder of the inner flame the steady light that lives within each of us. Even when life feels busy or uncertain, this season encourages us to reconnect with that inner steadiness and allow it to guide our next steps with confidence and trust.
To honour this powerful alignment, I am offering an in-person Full Moon Meditation in Royal Oak, London W2 on Sunday, February 1st at 5pm. This gathering provides a calm, supportive space to slow down, release what no longer serves you, and realign with the natural rhythm of the lunar and seasonal cycles.
Whether you are new to meditation, curious about working with lunar energy, or simply seeking a grounded way to reset, this Full Moon and Imbolc offer a gentle and meaningful place to begin.
As the light continues to return in nature and within ourselves his is a beautiful time to nurture what is ready to grow and to step forward with clarity, stability, and quiet confidence.
