Have you noticed that when you express gratitude your mindset shifts? When we actively focus on what we have in our lives versus what we wish we had, we shift from a lack mentality into an abundant one! Let face it, sometimes we get stuck in the mundane day to day of our lives. We then miss acknowledging moments in our lives that bring us joy. When we direct our energy on what we are thankful for, we become more present in our life. Gratitude not only allows us to feel more positive emotions but it also strengthens our ability to handle adversity. Everyone expresses gratitude in various ways and we have broken down a list of ways for you to cultivate gratitude in your life.

1.Bookend your day with meditation Start and end your day with a clean slate by meditating. Meditation allows us to focus on the present moment and strengthens our ability to detach from all thoughts and emotions. You can also use meditation to focus on something you are actively grateful for.

2. Send a gratitude text/email Nurture your relationship with a friend, partner, or co-worker by expressing your appreciation for them. Doesn't it feel nice when someone acknowledges you out of the blue? Make this a habit in your life and witness how your relationships change with people

3. Start a gratitude list Written words are powerful. Make it a habit (daily or weekly)  to write down everything you are grateful for and post it somewhere you can see it! 4.Smile at a stranger Remember when you had a tough day and a stranger smiled at you?  Sometimes it's the simplest gestures that make the most difference.

5.Express appreciation for the little things in your life. Whether its a cuppa or a warm bath, express the gratitude that you have the ability to nurture yourself and reflect on what you have in life.
